People receiving home health services will soon be using a new system – referred to as Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) – to record the work time on Personal Care Attendants. Attendants will be required to call in each time they begin and end a shift.
Consumer Directed Services users – people who manage their own Personal Care Attendants – are required to complete a training session on using the EVV system. Training sessions in Central Texas are scheduled from June 15-30, 2012. This requirement applies to all of the Medicaid-funded programs that provide home health services, including the Medicaid-funded waiver programs such as CBA, CLASS, MDCP, etc.
