*These classes have limited enrollment. Please register in advance..Assistive Technology – Managing Your Life and Money: If you don’t understand technology and are wondering how you can be more effective at daily tasks in your home, workplace and community, this class is for you
Beginning Computers: Focus on learning the basics of the computer including the hardware components of a computer system and the software in MSN Office. Make an impression in your community and at work
Light Aerobics: Start on the road to a healthier life style as you get fit through light aerobic exercise appropriate for anyone. Learn how to find programs at recreation centers and to access the community of fitness.
Personal Safety: Learn to be safe as you go about your life – in the workplace, at school, at home and in the community. Learn assertiveness skills, avoiding danger, recognizing abuse and practicing safety strategies.
Self Determination and Leadership: Participate in activities to develop leadership skills as you learn to instruct peers in setting personal goals - be your own best advocate as you create a road map for a self-determined life.
Sexuality and Relationships: Learn more about healthy adult sexuality and how to avoid unsafe behaviors as you interact with the people in your life.
Social Recreation: Develop skills for accessing and evaluating recreational opportunities. Grow socially as you develop skills to advocate for people with disabilities in the area of recreation and leisure.
Your Life/Your Health: Explore fundamental concepts of wellness and whole health such as nutrition, exercise, stress/grief management and peer counseling. Become empowered to create a purposeful lifestyle that contributes not only to your individual health but to that of your community.
